Hi! We're Krisann and Jana -
the mother/daughter duo behind this candle co! We officially started Little Light in 2020 after finding out how toxic some candles could be to us, our family and even our pets! We've been crafting clean, 100% soy candles ever since and love bringing a little light & joy into your homes.
Beginning January 2026, we’re becoming Papilane House…
Same products you love, same quality, same mother/daughter duo, just a new name. Come January 2026, we’re excited to transition from Little Light Candle Co. into our new name, Papilane House. This transition will allow us to grow and expand!
Papilane is a combination of the French word for butterfly, “papillon” and our shared middle name, Elaine. We’re excited to keep crafting clean candles and also branch out into other products that bring light and joy to your home, like our new organic, fair trade coffee that’s available now. :)
The story behind the house...
The tiny gold house on our candles was originally a chicken coop!
We converted that old coop into our very first candle pouring studio a few years back. We’ve since outgrown it, but it’ll always be a special place to us! The iron butterflies have been on the house for fifteen years and they remind us to keep our thoughts on the higher things in life. You might notice the cat in front of the house, our old friend Barney who keeps us company while we work.
